The Intellectual Disabilities or “Tootsie Roll
Drive” is one of the most recognizable
activities that the Knights of Columbus does
each year. Funds generated from this drive are
used to support local programs which help people
with special learning needs.
This year’s drive is Friday September 17 &
Saturday September 18. Knights, their families
and other volunteers will be collecting
donations outside designated store fronts
throughout Crystal Lake.
This charitable activity is open to all parish
members and their families as well, and also
serves as an excellent opportunity for students
to earn much needed services hours.
Volunteers are asked to check-in approximately
15 minutes before their scheduled time at
St. Thomas the Apostle Parish Center
272 King Street (Pierson & King Streets)
Crystal Lake, Illinois
At this time the volunteers sign-in, receive
their apron, canister, & Tootsie Rolls and then
proceed to their collection location.
